Rights to Emoji Images

The colored images used in the Unicode emoji documents and charts are for illustration only. They do not appear in the Unicode Standard, which has only black and white images. They are either made available by the respective vendors for use in Unicode emoji documents and charts, or are marked as available for non-commercial reuse.

All copyrights, trademarks and/or service marks associated with the emoji designs appearing on this website are the property of their respective owners. Any use of such copyrights, trademarks or service marks, including the reproduction, modification, distribution or republication of same without the prior written permission of the owner, is strictly prohibited.

Usage

The Unicode Consortium is not a designer or purveyor of emoji images, nor is it the owner of any of the color images used in Unicode emoji documents and charts, nor does it negotiate licenses for their use. Inquiries for permission to use vendor images should be directed to those vendors, not to the Unicode Consortium.

• The black and white Chart Glyphs are from the Unicode charts. Vendors that support emoji would provide a colorful appearance for each of these characters.
• The Sample Colored Glyphs columns use a variety of different styles to illustrate some possible presentations. However, the actual presentations on phones and other devices are up to vendors, subject to the considerations in UTR #51, Unicode Emoji.
