The ISO 639 code for Hebrew USED TO BE "iw". It was changed to "he". The
code for Yiddish used to be "ji". It was changed to "yi". The code for
Indonesian used to be "in". It was changed to "id".
The changes were published ISO 639/RA Newsletter No. 1/1989.
