I have received the appended request for advice about the use of Unicode
on the Web with Indian scripts. If you are able to help, please respond
directly to Prashant Deorah.
Thank you,

Hello Sir,
We just learnt about the Tenth International Unicode Conference
coming up in Germany in March.
We are based in Mumbai, (formerly Bombay), India engaged in Web
Publishing, consultancy and marketing.
Being members of the Internet Society we had the oppurtunity to read
articles on Unicode featured in On The Internet, a publication of the
society. Ever since we have been trying to know how we can use
Unicode to place Indian scripts like Hindi, Gujarati, Devangiri on
the net. Right now it is possible to have some of the Indian scripts
online whereby the browser downloads the fonts onto his machine and
accesses the page, we were wondering if it is possible to use Unicode
which could be a easier way for the browser.
Your advise and views would be of great help to us, please let us
know if we can do anything to promote it.
Thanks and Regards,
Prashant Deorah
