Sir, I fully support such an initiative. Systems for musical notation
belong, on equal stand, to the universal cultural heritage and should therefore benefit an equal
treatment as the "alphabetic" set(s) of signs.
For your information, and if my memory is correct, some countries (e.g. Greece) have already introduced a request for including musical notation (in this exemple the Byzantine Notation: pa/vou/ga/thi/ke/zo/ni)in ISO 10646 (and consequently in Unicode).
