The plight of the entity "Adrian T" is yet another illustration
of why it is important to keep track of your real addresses.
The entity in question subscribed as "adtriant@wrdc.com" on
03 Feb 1998 at 10:36:46 and subsequently made three attempts
to unsubscribe as "adriant+aea-wrdc.com", on 17 Mar and 23 Mar.
The guy at Microsoft coding their UTF-7 coder would have done well to
code @ directly. The confusion caused by mangling very common ASCII
characters much outweighs the rare gatewaying problems it may avoid.
But since he didn't, Adrian T must either prevail on gentle Sarasvati
to make the list processor decode UTF-7, or turn off the encoding in
his mailer.
