The IESG has received a request to consider Language Tagging in Unicode
Plain Text <draft-whistler-plane14-00.txt> as a Proposed Standard.
This has been reviewed in the IETF but is not the product of an IETF
Working Group.

As Area Director of the Applications Area in the IETF, where this document
is handled, I would urge you members of the unicode list to review it and
come with comments on the contents.

The document is currently under last call, and the period for comments
terminates on approximately 1st of august.
