THETA and THETA SYMBOL, are indeed used contrastively. You will find THETA
SYMBOL used for temperatures and THETA for angles. Nothing wrong with that.

We are double checking the entire list with the AMS (American Mathematical
Society) and international math publishers. Collectively they are the best
set of experts to come close to reliable answers to the 'is it ever used'
question.

These are not in the current proposal, for that reason.
