Hah! Obviously you have never tried to learn a language outside the
indo-european group. It is only the relative proximity of languages which
makes English "relatively" easy to learn for a speaker of some other
germanic languages. For a native speaker of Cantonese English is just as
tough as Basque or any other language not closely related.
