By the way, my apologies for any offense to Canadians on the list -- my remarks were not meant to be taken seriously.

I am, in fact, quite impressed that the standard has has an extraordinarily high rank for a technical book on Amazon's Canada sales list, and am simply curious as to factors that could explain this interesting occurrence.
