The SWUNG DASH, which is not in the Unicode Standard (or in Latin 1), is a
mark of punctuation. The TILDE has been used for this in a lot of character
sets, but that's only because the real SWUNG DASH wasn't present.

A proposal to add the SWUNG DASH to the UCS is being prepared along with
other characters used in the Finno-Ugric Phonetic Alphabet.
