    Some years ago some symbols akin to U+00A9, U+00AE, U+2117, and U+2122
    were discussed in this list, namely the "creative commons" generic symbol
    ("cc" in ring).

    Meanwhile the issue gained much more importance that it was percieved to
    have back then, and perhaps the issue should be readdressed. Relevant
    texts may be found at < http://creativecommons.org/about/licenses/ >.

    Here's some ideas about how to encode some of these symbols:

    U+0024 U+20E0 "Noncommercial"
    U+003D U+20DD "No Derivative Works"
    U+27F2 U+20DD "Share Alike"
    U+A034 U+20DD "Attribution" (this one very tongue-in-cheek ;-)
    U+33C4 U+20DD (Creative Commons logo)
