I apologize for insinuating that Peter was trying to be deceptive about
his or Microsoft's motives in not making Uniscribe updates generally
available to XP users. It was not my intent to accuse him, but I see
how it could have been taken that way.

I have defended Microsoft's technical decisions many, many times, on
public mailing lists and privately, against those who make MS-bashing
their hobby. One post about whether, and how, MS wants to encourage
users to migrate to Windows 7 does not change that.
