Description of Issue:

Because Unicode contains such a large number of characters and incorporates the varied writing systems of the world, usability and security issues can arise from improper handling of Unicode program text. This proposed draft Unicode Technical Standard provides guidance for programming language designers and programming environment developers, and specifies mechanisms to alleviate those issues. The draft document is now open for public review and comment. Draft updated 2023-01-12.
