Thanks to all for incorporating the new ISO country code (CQ = Sark) in CLDR v43 It's my understanding that the flag did not get added to RGI or was otherwise excluded from emoji data (otherwise it would follow Clipperton Island in emoji-sequences of https://www.unicode.org/Public/draft/emoji/ ). I don't know if there's an official declaration on this or could come around in a future Unicode release, but wanted to note that it isn't in the 15.1 beta. Regards, Nick Doiron

In emoji-zwj-sequences.txt, the right-facing variants of Person Walking, Person Running, and Person Kneeling (+ their skin tone variants) have been placed in the “Other” category, but they should be in “Role”.

In Chinese, there is a punctuation called 破折號, which is used for "continuation of tone or sound, an abrupt change in thought, or adding new content to the context". The current usage in Chinese is to use two U+2014 EM DASH for this, but the two-em long dash should have side bearings while connected in the middle, which normally two U+2014 EM DASH does not fulfil both properties; it also allow mid-dash breaking which is not allowed in Chinese typography. New font makers and typographers are slowly transitioning to use U+2E3A TWO-EM DASH for this punctuation, including Source Han ( https://github.com/adobe-fonts/source-han-sans, https://github.com/adobe-fonts/source-han-serif) which included a CJK version of this punctuation that is 2-em wide, has side bearings, and vertically centered to Han ideographs. 1. It might be helpful to include a description under U+2E3A TWO-EM DASH for Chinese usage as mentioned under W3C Requirements for Chinese Text Layout (clreq) at https://www.w3.org/TR/clreq/ . Below is my suggestion for a concise quote of usage to be put under U+2E3A: • May be used in Chinese for abrupt change of thought, inserting new content, or continuation of tone or sound 2. I recognise the following decomposition isn't accurate, but it might also be helpful to include its pseudo-decomposition used in Chinese as such: ≈ U+2014 U+2014 It can be done to the similar U+2E3B THREE-EM DASH too: ≈ U+2014 U+2014 U+2014

The following values seem to be incorrect: 㪳 (U+3AB3): kRSUnicode of 68.2 should be 68.1; kTotalStrokes of 6 should be 5 㫈 (U+3AC8): kRSUnicode of 70.6 should be 70.5; kTotalStrokes of 10 should be 9 Although these both have the nonstandard component of a circle (which I have assumed to be a single stroke), they should be compared with 㔔 (U+3514), which has a kRSUnicode of 19.4 and kTotalStrokes of 6 (i.e. the circle is counted as one stroke).

It seems that the newly-added U-source glyph UTC-02994 was wrongly unified to U+44D5 䓕. With the addition of CJK Unified Ideographs Extension I in Unicode 15.1.0 Beta, I suggest that Unicode move UTC-02994 to U+2EDD4 , for the G-source glyph GIDC23-485 of U+2EDD4 is identical to UTC-02994.
