Description of Issue:

This Unicode Standard Annex will be updated for Unicode 17.0. The proposed update is now available for general public review and comment.

In this draft, the provisional kGB7 property was removed, the description of the kCantonese and kIRG_MSource properties were updated, the syntax and description of the kIRG_GSource, kIRG_TSource, and kIRG_SSource properties were updated to accommodate new source prefixes, the syntax and description of the kStrange property were updated, the range U+2B73A..U+2B73E and the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension J block (now with two fewer characters) were added to the first table in Section 4.4. Draft updated 2024-11-09.
