While working in the academic world, he maintained and published an FAQ on using accented characters on Usenet. Having moved to the private sector, in the field of multilingual Internet software, he has been active in ISO and Internet standardization, especially internationalization of the Web, as the editor and co-author of the current Internet standard on HTML internationalization, RFC 2070. François has a Ph.D. in Physics from Université Laval in Québec. |

International Unicode Conferences are organized by Global Meeting Services, Inc., (GMS).
GMS is pleased to be able to offer the International Unicode Conferences under an exclusive
license granted by the Unicode Consortium. All responsibility for conference finances and
