John Hudson - Tiro TypeworksJohn Hudson is a type designer and co-founder of Tiro Typeworks, an independent digital font developer specialising in text faces for multilingual typography. Tiro's clients have included Linotype Library, Agfa and Microsoft, for whom they consulted on the development of a glyph database for international typography. In 1998, Hudson's typeface Sylfaen Cyrillic won an Award of Excellence at the Kyrillitsa '99 type design competition in Moscow, and he was the recipient of the Golden Bee (Design Biennale) Association award for his 'outstanding contribution to the development of Cyrillic typography and international typographic communication'. |
