Biography

Joe Ho - Basis Technology Corporation

Joe Ho, Manager of Engineering Services. Mr. Ho is a 15-year veteran in software internationalization, localization, software design and implementation, testing and project management. Mr. Ho has been with Basis Technology since May 1999. At Basis Technology, Mr. Ho has had a key role in internationalization projects for Lucent Technologies, Amazon.com, L.L. Bean, AskJeeves, Homestead, and leading financial institutions. Prior to working for Basis Technology, Mr. Ho served as software consultant for Japanese Language Services and its successors, internationalizing client/server database software for the Japanese market. At Japanese Language Services, Mr. Ho had a hands-on development role in many projects including Adobe Framemaker, Illustrator and Photoshop software localization and internationalization projects. At Banyan Systems Inc., Mr. Ho managed the BeyondMail Chinese/Japanese/Korean project and performed double-byte enabling work. At Language Engineering Corp., Mr. Ho developed LogoVista E/J translation software, which translate English text into Japanese. Mr. Ho holds a BS in Computer Science from University of Manchester, U.K. and an MS in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
