The presentation will be aimed at an intermediate level. Discussing how SGML (Markup language), Hyphenation, Index Sorting and Character Sets effect the publishing environment. Centring on how the Unicode standard and its components have aided the EP/Advent in this project, further addressing some of the complex layout requirements that multilingual legal work involves.

Rounding of the session, David will discuss the publishing problems experienced by the European Parliament and highlight how 3B2 was able to meet and exceed their needs.
