I have just found, in my records, an article (in German) I have written
in 1991 about DIN 5007 complying ordering, and how to do it in the VM/CMS
system with the VMSORT command. The greater part of this article also
applies to other operating systems and sort programs. The example program
(VMSORT user-exit routine) cited in that article is lost (however, its
effects are described, in great detail.

Whoever wants this article can have it for the asking (per private e-mail).
But please do not ask me to translate it.
