Dear Unicode Implementers, Supporters, and Enthusiasts,

The Unicode Consortium has worked the last three years to completely
revamp and upgrade the Unicode Standard and is excitedly anticipating the
publication of Version 5.0 in October of this year. It will be smaller and
lighter, and 100% complete - including all of the Unicode Standard Annexes
in the book for the first time.

The deadline for members' acknowledgement in the foreword of the new book
has been extended to June 30, 2006. All members of the Consortium will be
among the first to receive their complimentary copies of the new book. If
