The Conference

Realizing the dream of the global Internet requires a strong foundation.
The Unicode(tm)* Standard with its support for Asian languages and
backing from major vendors fills this requirement. The conference
is your best opportunity to find out how Unicode will shape the Web,
transform the globalization of software, and make truly global
communication possible.

Audience

Managers, engineers, product managers and planners, software developers,
systems analysts, programmers and product marketing personnel responsible
for the development of software supporting Unicode/ISO 10646 as well as
those involved in all aspects of the globalization of software.

Accommodation

A guest room block has been set aside for the Conference. To receive the
conference rate of HK$1,350.00 Superior Peak View Room or HK$1,650.00
Superior Harbour View Room plus applicable taxes, please call or fax the
Hotel Furama Kempinski Hong Kong directly using the enclosed reservation
form and request the Unicode Conference special group rate. This rate is
valid during the dates of April 15 - 20, 1996 inclusive.

Hotel reservations should be made prior to March 15,1996. Thereafter this
special rate will be offered on a space available basis only.

Conference attendees are to make their own travel arrangements.

Conference Fees

Unicode members: US $ 650.00
- to include all (employees of) corporate,
   associate and individual members

Non-members:
- Prior to March 15 US $ 695.00

- After March 15 US $ 750.00

- to include all conference materials; proceedings; continental breakfast,
refreshment breaks and luncheons for both days; cocktail reception and
entry to the exhibit area on Day 1 and a conference T-shirt.

Exhibition

The Conference will have an informal exhibition area for corporations or
individuals who wish to display and promote their products, technology
and/or services. This area will be open from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm during the
cocktail reception on April 18.
