Is there such a thing as GB12345-80?

There is, I understand, a Chinese standard called "GB/T 12345-90". However
at the top of the GB12345.TXT file that contains the mapping between
GB12345 and Unicode, it has the line:

# Name: GB12345-80 to Unicode table (complete, hex format)

About 30 lines down the following lines appear:

# This table contains the data Metis and Taligent currently have on how
# GB12345-90 characters map into Unicode.

Is the reference to GB12345-80 a mistake?
