That's a pity. If Unicode is not introduced properly, this process
can be quite damaging to both the standard in question and the
reputation of Unicode in general.

USEFOR permits quite a few Unicode characters in newsgroup names, and
due to some properties of the news distribution mechanism, a group
name which is visually the same, but different for a computer can
cause many problems. :-/
I'm currently gathering more data and preparing an example and going
to address the WG after that.
