    To elaborate on Murray's comment. The characters he means are from Table
    2.5 and they are coded at
    2B1D
    25AA
    25FE
    25FC
    25A0
    2B1B
    and they represent six different sizes of black squares.

    Therefore, the inability of PDF readers to represent square bullets must
    lie somewhere else.

    How exactly are these represented in Word?
