Note from WG 2 Convenor: Unicode Version 18.0 is to be synchronized with ISO/IEC 10646 7th Edition, meaning that anything that is reflected in Unicode Version 18.0 (2026) will be incorporated into the next progression of ISO/IEC 10646 7th Edition (aka CD.4).

  • Current Status: IRG experts should be reviewing document IRG N2931 with comments due by 2026-07-24.

4.3 M66.09: China Horizontal Extension (IRG N2929)

  • Current Status: IRG experts provide to China feedback on document IRG N2929 by 2026-08-28. See Section 8.1.

4.4 M66.10: Revised G-Source References (IRG N2919R, IRG N2923R & IRG N2930)

  • Current Status: The three kIRG_GSource property values changes proposed in document IRG N2930 were recommended by the UTC’s CJK & Unihan Working Group for Unicode Version 18.0, and if accepted by the UTC during UTC Meeting #187, these changes will appear in the Unicode Version 18.0 Beta review that is scheduled to begin on 2026-05-26.

4.5 M66.11: Revised G-Source Representative Glyphs (IRG N2919R)

  • Current Status: TBD

4.6 M66.12: Revised T-Source Representative Glyphs (IRG N2927R)

  • Current Status: The T-source representative glyph change change of U+2976E was recommended by the UTC’s CJK & Unihan Working Group for Unicode Version 18.0, and if accepted by the UTC during UTC Meeting #187, this change will appear in the Unicode Version 18.0 Beta review that is scheduled to begin on 2026-05-26.

4.7 M66.13: Revised K-Source Representative Glyphs (IRG N2916)

  • Current Status: The K-source representative glyph change change of U+2DB7C, along with its kRSUnicode property value change, was recommended by the UTC’s CJK & Unihan Working Group for Unicode Version 18.0, and if accepted by the UTC during UTC Meeting #187, these changes will appear in the Unicode Version 18.0 Beta review that is scheduled to begin on 2026-05-26. ROK needs to submit to WG 2 a TrueType font with the updated K-source representative glyph for U+2DB7C by 2026-04-30.

4.8 M66.14: Revised UK-Source Representative Glyphs (IRG N2918)

  • Current Status: TBD

4.9 M66.15: Revised V-Source Representative Glyphs (IRG N2928)

4.10 M66.16: Establishing a Normative IRG Source for Singapore (SG) (IRG N2926)

  • Current Status: The IRG Convenor will submit document IRG N2926 to WG 2 by 2026-05-29 for consideration during WG 2 Meeting #73.

4.11 M66.17: CJKV Components Blocks (IRG N2878R3)

  • Current Status: The IRG Convenor prepared the “Proposal Summary Form” and appended it to document IRG N2878R3 on 2026-03-20, and submitted it to WG 2 on 2026-03-22 for consideration during WG 2 Meeting #73.

4.12 M66.18: Consolidated FS & SC Guidelines (IRG N2962R2 & IRG N2951)

  • Current Status: Document IRG N2951 was posted and added to IWDS Series 1 on 2026-04-02.

4.13 M66.19: Rules for Assigning Radicals (IRG N2925 & IRG N2952)

  • Current Status: Document IRG N2952 is expected to be posted and ready for review by IRG experts by 2026-05-29.

4.14 M66.20: IRG P&P Update (IRG N2850R)

  • Current Status: The IRG Convenor will publish IRG Principles & Procedures Version 18 shortly after document IRG N2951 has been posted. See Section 4.12.
