To put it as mildly as possible, the guy who wrote that paper does not have
the barest idea of what he is talking about.

The blunders are so many and so gross that one might suspect that the
article was written by a fanatic Unicode supporter, in order to discredit
real criticism to Unicode... :-)

The paper has already been discussed in the past on the Unicode List. See in
the archives the thread named "Unicode under fire again". I especially
suggest to read Doug Ewell's posting, which summarizes very well the main
misunderstandings in Goundry's paper.
