IRG Working Document Series
The IRG Working Document Series (IWDS) includes documents that explain the unifications rules, and provide examples that can be used as a guide for supporting either unification or disunification. IWDS includes the following five series:
- IRG Principles and Procedures (P&P), First Residual Stroke (FS) values, and Stroke Count (SC) values
- List of Unifiable Component Variations (UCV) and Non-Unifiable Component Variations (NUCV) of ideographs
- Assigned and unassigned CJK Unified Ideographs and CJK Compatibility Ideographs code points in the Unicode Standard (CJKUI); the original Series 3, NUCV, was merged with Series 2
- List of Disunified Ideographs (DUI); the original Series 4, list of possibly Mis-Unified Ideographs (MUI), which included only a single document (IRG N1395) from IRG Meeting #29, was determined to be obsolete
- Guidelines for normalizing handwritten ideographs to printed ideographs
The following table lists the latest and previous versions of IWDS documents, which are listed according to the IRG meeting during which the corresponding documents were confirmed (documents highlighted in yellow are expected to be confirmed during the specified IRG meeting number):
