Note from WG 2 Convenor: Unicode Version 17.0 is a strict subset of ISO/IEC 10646 7th Edition, meaning that anything that is reflected in the Unicode Version 17.0 Beta review (2025-05-20 through 2025-07-01) will be incorporated into the next progression of ISO/IEC 10646 7th Edition (aka CD.2). In addition, anything that is reflected in Unicode Version 17.0 (2025-09-09) will be incorporated into CD.2 or later. ISO/IEC 10646 7th Edition is also targeting Unicode Version 18.0 (2026).

4.2 M64.05: 12 Urgently Needed Characters—China (IRG N2753 & IRG N2802R2)

Current Status: These Urgently Needed Characters are reflected in PRI #526, Unicode 17.0.0 Beta, at the end of the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension E block at code points U+2CEA2 through U+2CEAD.

4.3 M64.06: Disunification of 16 T-Source Ideographs (IRG N2778)

Current Status: This TCA disunification and horizontal extension are reflected in PRI #526, Unicode 17.0.0 Beta.

4.4 M64.07: Disunification of U+6138 (IRG N2782)

Current Status: This disunification is reflected in PRI #526, Unicode 17.0.0 Beta, but note that the UTC changed the code point of the disunified ideograph to be at the end of the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension C block at code point U+2B73F per UTC Consensus 183-C58. See Section 4.5 immediately below.

4.5 M64.08: Disunification of U+980B, U+FACB & U+2F9FF (IRG N2786)

Current Status: In light of document IRG N2834 that recommends that the KP- and T-source disunifications in document IRG N2786 be reconsidered during this IRG meeting, the UTC CJK & Unihan Working Group recommended that the UTC not accept this proposal, and the UTC agreed. See Section 9.3.

4.6 M64.09: Disunification of U+2A50D (IRG N2780 & IRG N2804)

Current Status: See Section 7.1.

4.7 M64.10: China Horizontal Extensions (IRG N2729R3 & IRG N2805R2)

Current Status: This China horizontal extension is reflected in PRI #526, Unicode 17.0.0 Beta.

4.8 M64.11: Japan Horizontal Extension Issues (IRG N2040 & IRG N2722)

Current Status: See Section 8.1.

4.9 M64.12: TCA Horizontal Extension (IRG N2779R2)

Current Status: This TCA horizontal extension is reflected in PRI #526, Unicode 17.0.0 Beta.

4.11 M64.14: Revised G-Source Representative Glyphs & Sources (IRG N2800, IRG N2803R2, IRG N2805R2 & IRG N2807)

Current Status: These G-source representative glyph and property value changes are reflected in PRI #526, Unicode 17.0.0 Beta.
Special Note: The updated G-source representative glyph for U+29B9A is not reflected in PRI #526, Unicode 17.0.0 Beta, but will be reflected in Unicode Version 17.0 when it is released in September.
Special Note: The one kRSUnicode and two kTotalStrokes property value changes in document IRG N2800 should have been excluded from this recommendation, because they affect U+9D56 and U+3125D whose possible disunifications were deferred to a future IRG meeting.
